JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assists in monitoring, reviewing and enforcing safety, health and environmental regulations. Ensures distribution center associates adhere to local, state and federal regulations, and notifies appropriate personnel when center is not in compliance or potentially is not in compliance.
•Assists Loss Prevention Manager with accident investigations including review and follow up of accident investigation reports and develops methods for preventing additional accidents including proactive safety measures.
•Assists Loss Prevention Manager-coordinates, monitors and maintains inspection records of all Loss Prevention related equipment.Ensures fire and intrusion equipment is operable. Ensures fire hazards are eliminated and conducts periodic drills and inspections to maintain fire and emergency readiness.
•Supervises, trains and reviews performance of Loss Prevention Auditors. Schedules, assigns and monitors the completion of assigned tasks.
•Assists Loss Prevention Manager in implementing and monitoring Loss Prevention policies and procedures in order to detect and minimize criminal activity and assists in investigation initiation and follow up; implements proactive measures to combat theft and shrink through theft and shrink awareness programs.
•Assist in managing contracted security officer performance and ensures their adherence to policies and procedures. Informs vendor agency of any issues or concerns and works in connection with vendor in order to facilitate resolutions.
•Participates in safety team meetings in order to assist Loss Prevention Manager in providing a safe and secure environment.
•Conduct and ensure the timely completion of routine Loss Prevention audits to identify existing or potential exposure and monitor compliance to policy and procedure.
•Assists in providing training to operations associates in regard to DC Loss Prevention and Safety.
•Initiates and completes other duties assigned per Loss Prevention Manager.
•Assists Loss Prevention Manager in implementing and administering operational audits.
•Assists Loss Prevention Manager in implementing and executing Loss Prevention Best Practices.


Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Education/Training
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

Experience
•Three (3) to five (5) years of Loss Prevention, fire prevention, safety, or security experience or equivalent preferred.

Role specific abilities/skills
•Strong leadership, administrative, computer knowledge, organizational and management skills.
•Effective oral and written communication skills.
•Skilled in interrogation and investigation tactics.
•Good analytical ability to gather and interpret information, and develop, recommend and implement solutions.
•Knowledge of OSHA, environmental, safety, health and Loss Prevention rules and regulations desirable.
•Basic knowledge of security systems; i.e. alarms, CCTV, etc. desirable.
•Must successfully complete a detailed personal background investigation that may include the following: credit history, criminal history and motor vehicle driving history.
